The official website for Mamoru Hosoda's ( The Girl Who Leapt Through Time , Summer Wars ) new anime feature film Scarlet ("Hateshinaki Scarlet" in Japan) announced four new voice cast members portraying the peculiar characters the protagonist Scarlet encounters in the Land of the Dead. Mamoru Miyano (Light Yagami in Death Note ) and Kenjiro Tsuda (Kento Nanami in JUJUTSU KAISEN ) play the roles of the two gravediggers who appear in the dream Scarlet saw in the Land of the Dead. This marks Miyano's third appearance in a Hosoda film, following The Boy and the Beast (as Ichirohiko ) and Belle (as Hitokawamuitaro / Guttokoraemaru), while Tsuda makes his second appearance following Belle (as Jelinek). Meanwhile, Michio Hazama (Bruno J. Global in Super Dimension Fortress Macross ) plays the role of the elder leader of the caravan that extends a helping hand to Scarlet and Hijiri, and Toshio Furukawa (Asuma Shinohara in Mobile Police Patlabor ) plays the role of the innkeeper who knows about the "No End Place" Scarlet seeks.
