A new face joins the cast of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance , the 20th anniversary title coming soon from the magical girl franchise. According to the new trailer and key visual dropped today, we can look forward to the latest installment in the saga as soon as next year. Masaki Tsuzuki provides the original story and screenplay, Issei Arakaki provides the character designs and serves as chief animation director and Syuichi Kawakami provides the character planning. The Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series began in 2004 with a 13-episode TV anime series, followed by additional TV anime series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's in 2005, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS in 2007 and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid in 2015, as well as theatrical anime films in 2010, 2017 and 2018. Discotek Media currently releases the first series on home video in the United States , and describes the story as follows: Nanoha Takamachi was just an ordinary third grader going to elementary school. However, one day, she met the mysterious ferret Yuuno, bearing a magical device called Raising Heart, and her fate to become a magical girl was sealed. Before long, she finds herself at odds with Fate Testarossa, a girl from another world, who fights over control of the dangerous and ancient “Jewel Seeds,” and the intervention of the Time-Space Administrative Bureau.
