Lupin the IIIrd: Zenigata to Futari no Lupin ("Zenigata and Two Lupins"), a prequel episode to the upcoming anime feature film Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: Fujimi no Ketsuzoku ("The Immortal Bloodline"), will stream on Japanese streaming services on June 20, 2025, one week before the film's theatrical release. The episode will also air on Japanese satellite TV channel WOWOW two days later, along with the three previous episodes of the Lupin the IIIrd series — The Gravestone of Daisuke Jigen (2014), Goemon's Blood Spray (2017), and Fujiko Mine's Lie (2019). Key visual with a tagline: "What was stolen was yourself—". As its title suggests, it is a hard-action story with Inspector Zenigata as the main character. All of the film's main staff members, including director Takeshi Koike, scriptwriter Yuya Takahashi, soundtrack composer James Shimoji, and creative advisor Katsuhito Ishii, are attatched to the prequel episode as well. The synopsis reads (translated): An airport bombing in the Roviet Union, a land of extreme cold. The suspect emerges as Lupin the Third. However, the “other Lupin,” whom Zenigata has cornered, insists on his innocence. Zenigata, a man of justice, confronts the mysterious "fake Lupin."
