The children's picture book series Little Mouse's Red Vest (known in Japan as Nezumi-kun no Chokki ) announced today that the series is being adapted into a TV anime. The announcement coincides with the release of the 43rd book in the series, Little Mouse Wants to Be a Painter , which was published today in Japan. RELATED: Rilakkuma Short Form TV Anime Debuts in April 2026 POPLAR Publishing, Inc. began releasing the Little Mouse's Red Vest series in 1974, and to-date the series has more than 5 million copies in circulation. Yoshio Nakae writes and Noriko Ueno illustrates the series, which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary in Japan.
