The ongoing TV anime based on the comic fantasy light novel series Let This Grieving Soul Retire unveiled a trailer, key art and information on the new ending theme song for the series, which will begin broadcasting its second cour in Japan on October 6, 2025. Crunchyroll will also stream the new cour as part of the fall 2025 anime simulcast lineup. Let This Grieving Soul Retire Cour 2 Trailer i☆Ris performs the new ending theme song for the series, which is entitled “Yume e no Hitokakera” (“Towards the Fragments of a Dream”). The song is sampled in the trailer along with the new opening theme song, “Algorithm”, which is performed by Kiyono Yasuno. The original Let This Grieving Soul Retire light novels began publication on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in January 2018, and Micro Magazine also publishes a print version under their GC Novels imprint with 12 volumes published so far in Japan.
