Fans of Grasshopper Manufacture’s original LET IT DIE will get their chance to return to the series with SUPERTRICK GAMES’ LET IT DIE: INFERNO. Announced during the Sony State of Play earlier this week, LET IT DIE: INFERNO will launch on December 3 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, with pre-orders live now for several editions.
Unlike in the original LET IT DIE, players in INFERNO will trade ascending the Tower of Barbs for a descent into the deepest, darkest depths of Hell. You’ll take on the role of an immortal explorer, called a Raider, and embark on a quest to uncover SPLithium, an ultra-energy hidden within a massive chasm known as the Hell Gate.
Of course, you can die and come back as many times as you want. While you’ll lose your equipment (unless you store it in your stash for future use), abilities that you’ve gained will carry over to your new Body. Furthermore, every time you do die, you’ll come back and be equipped with a character-specific weapon that can be switched out with any weapon you come across. All Raiders are dual-wielding, and the combination of weapons in your equipment slots will unlock new special attacks.
In addition to the various monsters you’ll be facing, you’ll also have to contend with other players. And for those who enjoyed the Death Jamboree PvP mode in Deathverse: Let It Die, it’s back to allow you to sharpen your skills as you clash with other Raiders.
