Laid-Back Camp Plans 10th Anniversary Music Festival for 2026

Afro's cozy camping manga Laid-Back Camp began back in 2015, with its anime adaptation following three years later. To celebrate a decade of Rin and Nadeshiko's camping adventures, plans are underway for a 10th anniversary music festival. It's still early days for the event, with details like guest appearances to follow. What we do know is that the event will look back at the history of both the manga and the anime through video and music. The event is scheduled for March 1 at the Kasukabe Civic Cultural Hall in Saitama Prefecture. RELATED: Laid-Back Camp Manga Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Special Exhibition Laid-Back Camp began serialization in May 2015 in Hobunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine and was transferred to the company's official manga app COMIC FUZ in 2019, where it continues to be serialized. So far 17 tankobon volumes have been available in Japan, printing over 10 million copies. It has also been adapted into a TV anime and live-action TV drama, driving a recent camping boom in Japan. Crunchyroll currently streams both Laid-Back Camp and its spinoff series ROOM CAMP , describing the original thus: Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she's forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it's night, in a place she's never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself.
