Nippon Ichi Software recently teased a new game project, which has officially been unveiled as Kyouran Makaism . The action-RPG is currently in the works for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, with a release date locked in for Japan on January 29, 2026. Shunsuke Minowa directs Kyouran Makaism , with Takehito Harada on character designs and Tenpei Sato handling the music. The action here is all about flashy techniques, leveling characters way up and basically dealing overpowered damage throughout the Netherworld. Among the features is the ability to transform captured monsters into weapons, including NIS staples like a Prinny familiar, which can be Machichanged into a sword.
