Every Year, Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (KYOMAF for short), one of the largest manga and anime events in western Japan, has traditionally released collaboration visuals that combines popular anime, manga, game franchises with Kyoto's tourist attractions ahead of the opening. As usual, the event's Executive Committee released "KYOMAFU Collaboration Visuals" for its upcoming 2025 edition today. This year's theme is "Totteoki no Kyoto" ("Absolute Favorite Kyoto"). A total of six beautiful visuals feature popular anime characters drawn against the background of "absolute favorite" spots in Kyoto with hidden charm known to those in the know. Kaiju No. 8 x Lake Biwa Canal Museum Lake Biwa Canal Museum is a museum located in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City. Kyoto City opened this canal on August 9, 1989, to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the completion of the Lake Biwa Canal, which connects Lake Biwa with Kyoto. Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus x Oharano Shrine Oharano Shrine, a branch shrine of the famous Kasuga Taisha in Nara, is located in Nishikyo-ku, Kyoto City. Along with Kasuga Yaisha Shrine and Yoshida Shrine in Kyoto, it is counted as one of the "'Three Ujigami (guardian gods in the Shinto religion) Shrines of the Fujiwara clan." DAN DA DAN x Ohara Sanzen-in Temple Sanzen-in is a Tendai Sect temple located in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City. Its roots date back to the eighth century. Along with Shoren-in Temple and Myoho-in Temple, Sanzen-in is one of the three monzeki temples (temples of aristocratic or Imperial lineage) of the Sanmon School of the Tendai Sect and has the oldest history. TOUGEN ANKI x Kurama Station Kurama Station is the terminal station of the Eizan Electric Railway Kurama Line, located in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City. The area is famous as the place where Ushiwaka-maru, who later became Minamoto no Yoshitsune, trained during his childhood. So the anime's protagonist Shiki Ichinose is dressed as a Karasu Tengu (crow tengu), who is said to have taught sword fighting to Ushiwaka-maru. The Summer Hikaru Died x Yase-Hieizanguchi Station Yase-Hieizanguchi Station is located in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, and is the terminal station of the Eizan Electric Railway Eizan Main Line. As the station name suggests, it is the western entrance to Mt. Hiei. Lycoris Recoil x Kyoto Takao Momijiya (Takao's Kawayuka) Kyoto Takao Momijiya is a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) located in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City, where you can enjoy kawayuka cuisine (cuisine served at tables set up along the riverbank or on the water) and autumn leaves.
