The anime adaptation of light novel series Kusunoki's Garden of Gods has summoned its lead voice actor ahead of a 2026 premiere. A new character trailer offers us our first look (or rather, listen) of Shogo Sakata in the role of Minato Kusunoki. Sakata's previous roles include Aki Hayakawa in Chainsaw Man and Leviathan in My Hero Academia the MOVIE: World Heroes' Mission . Check out Minato Kusunoki's character trailer and get to know Sakata in his latest role: Kusunoki's Garden of Gods: Minato Kusunoki Character Trailer RELATED: Kusunoki's Garden of Gods Light Novel Series Gets TV Anime in 2026 The original Kusunoki's Garden of Gods story was posted on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2021 and then picked up by ASCII Media Works for full publication in later that year along with a manga adaptation. 10 volumes of the light novel and four volumes of the manga have been released in Japan, with Yen Press publishing the series in English, releasing the third volume on November 11. Yen Press describes the series as such: With the arrival of the freewheeling kirin and the stern ho’o, the Kusunoki household is more lively and divine than ever. The garden of gods changes to spring at the whim of the Yamagami, and Minato and the other residents spend their leisurely days watching the cherry blossoms and savoring seasonal delicacies. New beings wander into the garden, and Minato finds his way into other kami realms, proving that springtime truly is the season of new beginnings.
