EMOTION Label's official YouTube channel is now streaming a special crossover video of the TV anime and the upcoming live-action movie adaptations of KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE , a mystery romance manga series by Jun Mayuzuki ( After the Rain ). The clip begins with the anime footage featuring the opening theme song "Summertime Ghost" performed by Japanese musical unit Wednesday Campanella, along with the monologue of the protagonist, Reiko Kujirai. Then it moves to scenes from the live-action movie featuring the theme song "HAZE" performed by five-member Japanese rock band Kroi. Yoshioka said, "I was very honored to be able to voice Success, who is portrayed by Mayuzuki-sensei, because she is a very cute character that I love! Chihiro Ikeda, who recently worked on a live-action film adaptation of Makoto Ojiro's Insomniacs after school manga in 2023, serves as director. Riho Yoshioka (Hitomi Saito in Anime Supremacy! ) plays the main heroine Reiko Kujirai, while Koshi Mizukami (Akira Sakuma in Till We Meet Again on the Lily Hill ) is cast as the male protagonist, Hajime Kudou. The film was shot almost entirely on locations in Taiwan, in close proximity to the streets of Kowloon. Meanwhile, the TV anime KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE aired for 13 episodes from April 5 to June 28, 2025. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime including the final episode 13 for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.
