Hold your breath as you witness revenge rise from the deep in the new trailer for Killer Whale from Lionsgate.
Killer Whale swims into theaters, Digital, and VOD on January 16, 2026.
In the film, “After a life-shattering tragedy, Trish tries to comfort her best friend, Maddie, by taking her on a spectacular adventure in a private lagoon halfway across the world. Their peaceful retreat soon becomes a terrifying fight to stay alive when the ocean’s most bloodthirsty predator seeks vengeance for a brutal life in captivity.”
Jo-Anne Brechin (Designing Christmas With You) directs from a script co-written with Katharine E. McPhee.
Halloween 2018’s Virginia Gardner, Mel Jarnson, and Mitchell Hope star.
The new trailer introduces Gardner’s character as tragedy leads to a getaway excursion with a friend, one that goes horribly awry thanks to a killer whale. A premise not unlike 47 Meters Down or Fall, which also starred Gardner.
The upcoming aquatic horror movie Killer Whale has been rated “R” by the MPAA for “some violent content, bloody/grisly images, language, and brief drug use.”
