News has been stealthy for the Kill Blue anime since it was announced back in September, but we finally got our first tidbit of classified information since then – the casting of adult Juzo Ogami! Producer DMM announced today that Shunsuke Takeuchi will be voicing the adult version of Juzo Ogami. The first look at the character was released (above) alongside a comment from Takeuchi. Shunsuke Takeuchi is best known for voicing Einar in VINLAND SAGA , the Producer in THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS and Brawler in Akudama Drive . For the comment, Takeuchi said: “Juzo has the mind of an adult but the body of a child, so at first I thought I might need to do some detective work—but it seems that’s not the case! What a relief! I’ve often been told I seem a bit older than my age, so I feel a certain kinship with this character. All of the characters in KILL BLUE are incredibly expressive, and I’m excited to pop in from time to time and watch over their energetic interactions. The series is set to premiere in 2026. Tadatoshi Fujimaki ( Kuroko's Basketball ) began serialization of the Kill Blue manga in Shonen Jump in April 2023 and published its final chapter today. 11 volumes have been released in Japan to date, with Volume 12 releasing in Japan on November 4. VIZ Media releases an English-language version of the series. The story of Kill Blue is described as such: A legendary assassin at 39. Starting over… as a middle schooler. Juzo Ogami is a legendary hitman who has never failed an assignment, no matter how impossible. One day, after wiping out a powerful organization, he is stung by a mysterious wasp and collapses.
