Kiernan Shipka Stars in Horror Faux Trailer ‘Goodnight, Phone’ from Hatch

Sleep wellness brand Hatch is the latest company to create original horror content this Halloween season, joining the likes of Angry Orchard, Cologuard, and Gushers.

Goodnight, Phone is a faux trailer starring Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” Longlegs) to remind you that the real monster isn’t under your bed — it’s glowing in your hand.

When Ava moves into a new house, her only source of comfort is the familiar pull of her late-night scroll. But what begins as harmless distraction warps into something far more sinister, as the content on her screen begins manifesting in real life—and watching her back.

Each swipe unravels her world until even her own reflection turns against her. The only thing in the house left untouched by the algorithm’s grasp? The quiet, steady glow of her partner’s Hatch smart sleep clock on the nightstand.

Co-starring Jake Cannavale (“The Offer”), the short is directed by Meredith Alloway (Forbidden Fruits) and features music by Ariel Marx (“Black Mirror,” Shiva Baby).

In addition to streaming below, Goodnight, Phone is also playing in select AMC and Cinemark theaters beginning today.

Hatch produced the trailer to promote Restore 3, its new smart sleep device with phone-free controls designed to keep screens out of the bedroom and nightmares at bay. Because when it comes to sleep, the scariest horror is losing it.
