July 26 is celebrated as Ghost Day in Japan, so the upcoming Kaya-chan Isn't Scary anime marked the occasion by letting the titular Kaya-chan show whose boss in a new commemorative illustration by creator Yuritaro. A release date for the horror comedy series is yet to be confirmed. Yukio Nagasaki serves as sound director. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes an official English version of Yuritaro's original manga and describes the story: Kaya-chan is a notorious problem child in her kindergarten, but none of the adults know her secret–till Chie-sensei is put in charge and learns of Kaya-chan’s hidden ability to see evil spirits and vanquish them with a punch!
