The original light novel by Midori Yuma and illustrated by Laruha ran from April 2015 to March 2022 for a total of 12 volumes. A manga adaptation illustrated by Waco Ioka began in April 2016 with 12 volumes released in Japan to date. VIZ Media releases an English-language version of the manga. The first season of the TV anime, directed by Yoshiko Okuda at GONZO, aired for 26 episodes from April to September 2018. Crunchyroll currently streams the first season, as well as the new season as it airs. The synopsis reads: After losing her grandfather, Aoi—a girl who can see spirits known as ayakashi—is suddenly approached by an ogre.
