xikers is a 10-member multi-national boy group under KQ Entertainment hailing from South Korea. The rising global stars, known for their outstanding performances, have shaken up the K-Pop scene since their debut on March 30, 2023. The 10 members of xikers are MINJAE, JUNMIN, SUMIN, JINSIK, HYUNWOO, JUNGHOON, SEEUN, YUJUN, HUNTER, and YECHAN. Combining the value of the variable 'x' for unknown Coordinates and the term 'hikers' in reference to travelers, their group name represents them as ten boys traveling through infinite time and space based on their own Coordinates. Amid their current U.S. tour, "xikers 2025 WORLD TOUR [Road To XY : Enter the Gate] IN U.S.," Crunchyroll caught up with the group to talk about anime, what they're looking forward to on their tour, and what message they have for their fans (known as road𝓨). Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to us! Could you please introduce xikers to our Crunchyroll News readers? JUNGHOON: Hello! We’re xikers, a 10-member K-pop boy group, and I’m Junghoon. We’ve just made our comeback with our new track "BREATHE"! For our world tour, [Road to XY : Enter the Gate], we’ve prepared a performance full of our signature passion and energy, so we hope you’re excited for it. Also, be sure to check out xikers’ unique sound as we embark on a journey to find our own Coordinates! Congratulations on another album release! Can you tell us a little bit about HOUSE OF TRICKY : SPUR and the single “BREATHE”? SEEUN: Our fifth mini album, HOUSE OF TRICKY : SPUR , features the title track "BREATHE" — a powerful and energetic song that perfectly captures xikers’ vibe and intensity. I really love how the fresh and unique melody makes the track stand out. JUNMIN: This is the fifth installment of the HOUSE OF TRICKY series! It’s about charging ahead without hesitation in the direction we’ve chosen. The title track "BREATHE" combines a powerful hip-hop beat with an addictive chorus, making it an easy song to sing along to. What are you most looking forward to? Are you excited to share the stage together YECHAN: What I’m most looking forward to is road𝓨’s reactions and cheers during our performances. We’ve worked really hard to prepare these performances for our fans, and just thinking about how much they’ll enjoy them makes me feel so excited. SUMIN: Personally, I’m really looking forward to seeing the sparkle in road𝓨’s eyes as they watch how much we’ve grown on stage. We’re also performing a lot of songs for the first time, so I’m excited to see road𝓨’s surprised reactions too! YUJUN: Since this is our first concert with all 10 members together, I feel really pumped and full of anticipation about how it’ll turn out. I hope our energy and synergy as 10 come through on stage, and that road𝓨s can really feel it. Do you watch different anime depending on your mood? For the anime fans in the group, what was the series that got you into anime? JUNMIN: I really enjoy watching anime when I need to relieve stress or take a break. Lately, I’ve been watching Sakamoto Days , and one of my favorites is Solo Leveling ! I also enjoy I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class . JINSIK: The first anime I ever watched was Doraemon . I remember coming home from school and watching the Doraemon movies on TV. I even cried during one of them; that’s how deeply I was into it as a kid. It’ll always be my favorite. YUJUN: I’ve enjoyed watching One Piece since I was little, so it feels nostalgic just thinking about it. The story and action scenes are so much fun, so I usually watch it during promotions or while we're on the move. xikers has a really neat concept: “members of the boy band are finding the coordinates to travel through time and space.” If you could travel into the world of any anime, which one would you go for? What role would you play in that anime if you were reborn into it? JINSIK: Without a doubt, I want to be like Doraemon — someone who can pull out a gadget from my pocket and help road𝓨 whenever they’re struggling or in a tough situation. HYUNWOO: When I was little, I always dreamed of becoming a character in an anime because I wanted to try using magic or superpowers like the characters in those shows. I especially loved series with power-based characters, like One Piece and Fairy Tail , so I often imagined what it would be like to be the main character in those worlds. HUNTER: Since my name is Hunter, I would probably go for the popular series Hunter x Hunter . I still need to read more to fully understand the lore, but because of the title, I was drawn to it and thought I’d love to be the main character. RELATED: J-POP Band BE:FIRST Sets Sail With Their Love of One Piece Like Luffy from One Piece , it sounds like you really enjoy anime where the main characters grow and evolve from the ground up, overcoming hardships to grow stronger. Do you relate to these characters? HYUNWOO: Since each of us is constantly growing and leveling up our unique abilities, we approach everything with the mindset that we’re living out an exciting story, just like in an anime. So, I’d say we really connect with those characters. HUNTER: Yes, ever since our debut, it would be a lie to say we’ve gotten to where we are today without challenges. I believe that the more we struggle and overcome hardships, the more positive things will come our way in the future, just like those characters. JUNGHOON: Yes, I really relate to that. When I see characters in anime who overcome challenges and grow, it feels like I'm looking at myself. It also brings back memories of my time as a trainee, all the way up to where I am now. RELATED: Queen of Japanese Rap Awich on Her First Anime Opening Credit for Shangri-La Frontier If you could create an anime theme for any show, which show would it be? What do you imagine the message of the song might sound like? YECHAN: I’d love to create a theme song for one of my favorite works, Crayon Shin-chan , especially the movie version. The films often feature emotional and heartwarming songs, and I’d like to write something sweet and touching that can move people as well. SUMIN: If I could create a theme song for any anime, I imagine it would have a bold and empowering message, one that shows we can do anything and keep growing, just like the characters in anime who overcome every challenge. It really captures the xikers vibe! MINJAE: I’d love to create a powerful hip-hop track and use it as the opening theme for an action anime. I believe that nothing is more important than a strong beginning, and I think an intense hip-hop song would be the perfect fit to kick things off. OK, last question. Do you have a final message for road𝓨? SEEUN: Thank you so much for waiting, road𝓨! We’ll be seeing you soon on tour, so just wait a little longer to go. I truly hope you enjoy this comeback and our new track "BREATHE". I’m always grateful for your love and support. Love you all, and see you soon! MINJAE: To road𝓨, who’s always been waiting for us, we remind ourselves every day to give back with great music and unforgettable performances. Thank you always, and we love you!
