A new TV anime based on the works of Junji Ito, titled Junji Ito Crimson , was officially announced during Japan Expo 2025. Additionally, Yumi Matsutoya will perform the opening theme “Karasuageha” for the upcoming anime. Additionally, Crunchyroll will stream the anime when it premieres in the future. A release date, cast and staff was not announced at the time of reporting. Ito’s manga has been adapted into multiple anime adaptations, including Junji Ito Collection in 2018, Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre in 2023, and Uzumaki in 2024.
