Jimmi Simpson Joins ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ as Series Regular

Jimmi Simpson (“Westworld,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) has been cast a series regular in the upcoming third season of “The Walking Dead: Dead City.”

Deadline reports that he’ll play Dillard, but details about the character are being kept under wraps. Production is currently underway in Boston.

Fan favorites Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan star alongside Gaius Charles, Lisa Emery, Logan Kim, Keir Gilchrist, and Aimee Garcia.

Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?

Seth Hoffman (“The Walking Dead”, “Prison Break”) is taking over showrunner duties for the new season from Eli Jorné, who developed the spin-off series.

“The Walking Dead: Dead City” will return on AMC in 2026.
