Japan Box Office: Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Keeps No.1 for 6th Weekend

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc led the Japanese box office for a sixth consecutive weekend, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha . In its sixth weekend of October 24-26, the film earned 399 million yen (2.6 million USD) on 254,000 admissions, declining 31.5% from last weekend . The film's 38-day cumulative total domestic gross has reached 7.1 billion yen (46.44 million USD) with 4.69 million ticket sales. The live-action film adaptation of Makoto Shinkai's 2007 anime film 5 Centimeters per Second also stayed in second in its third weekend, making 222 million yen (1.45 million USD) on 158,000 admissions. The film now has a 16-day cumulative of 1.4 billion yen (9.16 million USD) on 1.02 million admissions domestically. Coming in third again was Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle . The film added 196 million yen (1.28 million USD) on 119,700 admissions, bringing its 15-week domestic total to 37.1 billion yen (242.6 million USD) on 25.54 million admissions. The 4K restoration edition of Hayao Miyazaki's 1997 film Princess Mononoke started screening in 60 IMAX theaters across Japan on October 24.
