Inherit the Winds Anime Introduces Lead Cast in New Trailer

Earlier this week, it was announced that Inherit the Winds , the first story in the popular Tachikawa Jinsuke stage play quadrilogy, will be adapted into an anime series. Today, a new trailer introduces the main cast of the upcoming project. Inherit the Winds Cast Reveal Trailer RELATED: Inherit the Winds Stage Play Gets Original Anime Adaptation As seen and heard in the trailer, the lead cast is (from left to right): Jin Tachikawa voiced by Daisuke Sakuma (Snow Man) Soji Okita voiced by Yuki Kaji (Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan ) Hyougo Koganei voiced by Aoi Yuki (Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia ) Additionally, the project will be getting a manga adaptation by Hedgehog Harry manga artist Matsuri Muramatsu. The four-panel gag manga, following the characters' daily lives, will run on the Twi4 web manga platform starting next year. The Tachikawa Jinsuke series is a set of four period stage plays performed by the theatre group Caramel Box since 1996. The original stories, set in the time around the Meiji Restoration, follow the fictional Shinsengumi soldier Jinsuke Tachikawa as he lives in a rapidly changing Japan. Inherit the Winds introduces Tachikawa as he enters the war and deals with the ramifications of the Kinmon incident. The stories are penned by playwrights Yutaka Narui and Azuki Mashiba. Tomohiro Kawamura will direct the anime adaptation at Live2d Creative Studio and Drive Inc., with Narui returning to pen the script. Character designs by Fumi Ebina will be used, and Shigeru Kishiba will provide music. At present, no release window is set for the project.
