Ichi the Witch, Strikeout Pitch Top Next Manga Awards 2025 Rankings

Next Manga Awards, a joint venture between monthly magazine Da Vinci and digital content site niconico, today announced the results of global voting for series that started serialization after January 1 last year or have no more than five volumes published. After making it through an open submission process and selection by an internal committee, Osamu Nishi and Shiro Usazaki's Ichi the Witch topped the Print category with 64,992 points and Kyu Sumiyoshi's Strikeout Pitch topped the Web category with 118,162 points. The two authors are no stranger to fan-voted accolades. Usazaki's Act-Age manga ranked 5th in 2018, while Sumiyoshi's Hyperfinflation manga ranked 6th in 2021 and topped AnimeJapan's "Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking" poll in 2023 . RELATED: American Manga Awards 2025 Winners Announced Ryuhei Tamura's COSMOS and Shun Numa's Super Psychic Policeman Chojo round out the Print category podium for 2025 alongside Toru Kuramori's Centuria and I Will Fall With the Emperor by Tenichi, STRAIGHT EDGE and SORAJIMA for Web. Mai Matsuda's Hokago Kitaku Biyori , which has an anime adaptation in production , received the "Reito Shokuhin wa Nichirei" Award. Makoto Miyagi's manga adaptation of Kaeru Chohokiteki's Witch and Mercenary light novels and Yuto Sano's Gokurakugai took home U-NEXT Awards. Source: Official Website
