On May 20, the release day of its latest 18th volume in Japan, the official X (formerly Twitter) for the I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too anime series announced that the total number of copies printed of Miku's original novel series and its manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuomi Mitatogawa had surpassed four million copies (including digital editions). As previously reported , the series reached the three million mark in October 2023, which means it has added another one million copies in the recent 19 months. The author Miku wrote on his official X , "Thanks to all of you who have always read my books, the 'Iseleve' series has printed more than 4 million copies in total. Thank you very much. I hope you will continue to enjoy this series." The novel was first posted on the Kakuyomu website in March 2017, then Fujimi Shobo started releasing its print edition in December 2018. So far the main novel series has 18 volumes, the novel's first spin-off series Girls Side has five volumes, the second spin-off series The Story of Kaori Hojo has one volume, and its manga adaptation has six volumes.
