It's a whole new year and a whole new world for anime, and it's been kicked off by the announcement of a TV anime based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's historical epic manga Historie . A teaser trailer and visual were unveiled, along with confirmation of LIDEN FILMS ( Call of the Night , Tokyo Revengers ) as the studio in charge of production. A release date was not revealed at the time of reporting. Twelve collected volumes have been published to date, which have a reported 4.7 million copies in circulation.
