During Aniplex Online Fest 2025 today, the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Hisaya Nakajo's romance shojo manga series Hana-Kimi announced that it is set to premiere in J anuary 2026 and revealed a first key visual. 1st key visual It was also announced that Japanese musical unit YOASOBI , known for their theme song works for BEASTARS , Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury , and Oshi no Ko , will perform the anime's opening and ending theme songs. The titles of each song have not yet been revealed as of this reporting. YOASOBI shared the following comment: We are YOASOBI, and we will be in charge of both the opening and ending themes for the TV anime "Hana-Kimi." It is truly an immense honor, and we feel deeply humbled. "Hana-Kimi," which accompanied the youth of so many and is still cherished by countless fans today. We, YOASOBI are also very much looking forward to reconnecting with the world of this story, now in this Reiwa era. Hakusensha published the original Hana-Kimi manga by Hisaya Nakajo from September 1996 – August 2004 in their Hana to Yume shojo manga magazine. VIZ Media also publishes an English language version of the series. The series has previously been adapted into live-action TV dramas in Taiwan (2006), Japan (2007, 2011) and South Korea (2012).
