Girls Band Cry Anime Announces New Film Project, Shares Teaser for "First Riff" Game

The Girls Band Cry anime may be over, but the story of Togenashi Togeari lives on! The creators of the original series from Toei Animation have announced plans for an original film, and the official game First Riff has released its first teasers. First up is the surprise film announcement. While we currently have no details about the story, release date, staff or anything else, we do have a super cool teaser visual. The series originally broadcast in Japan from April to June 2024 with 13 episodes. Crunchyroll currently streams Girls Band Cry and describes the series: Feeling out of place in the countryside, high school dropout Nina Iseri moves to Tokyo. After a rough first day and getting locked out of her apartment, she meets her favorite guitarist, Momoka Kawaragi. The two put on a street performance together and decide to start a band with three other girls. While each girl faces her own struggles, their passion for music keeps their dreams alive.
