George A. Romero’s ‘Day of the Dead’ Poster Remastered for Screen Prints by Bottleneck Gallery

Bottleneck Gallery has teamed up with artist Jason Edmiston to remaster the original Day of the Dead one-sheet for a series of limited edition posters.

The 24×36 screen print is limited to 125 for $65, while the glow-in-the-dark variant is limited to 75 for $75.

A 24×36 3D lenticular print on 4mm polystyrene, limited to 15, will also be available for $200.

All three editions go on sale today, October 3, at 12pm ET.

Bottleneck writes, “We teamed up with ISH and Jason to raise the Day of the Dead’s original one-sheet movie poster from the dead – we fed it some artsy brains – and resurrected it as an officially licensed, high fidelity screen print. Jason’s work smoothly and subtly refreshed the original art, making it possible to screen print.”

Released in 1985, the third installment in George A. Romero‘s Dead saga is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

In the film, a small group of scientists and soldiers have taken refuge in an underground missile silo where they struggle to control the flesh-eating horror that walks the earth above. But will the final battle for the future of the human race be fought among the living, or have they forever unleashed the hunger of the dead?

Lori Cardille, Joe Pilato, Terry Alexander, Richard Liberty, Jarlath Conroy, and Sherman Howard star.

A 4K Ultra HD release of Day of the Dead is in the works from Scream Factory with the recently-discovered original film elements.
