GeGeGe no Kitaro Anime Crosses Time with New Opening Performed by Ado

As previously announced , the long-running GeGeGe no Kitaro anime is currently celebrating its many generations in a short "best of" series. Starting May 4, My Favorite GeGeGe Generation will add a new opening sequence, featuring a new performance of a classic song. The new opening showcases the evolution of Kitaro's character design, as well as the designs of his co-stars, over the decades. Singer Ado ( One Piece Film: Red , SPY x FAMILY ) performs a creepy cover of the show's classic theme song, also titled "GeGeGe no Kitaro." Members of the production staff for The Mystery of Kitaro: The Birth of GeGeGe reunited to bring this new opening to life. The singer selected episode 22 of season 5, "Fake Kitaro Appears!!" The episode originally aired as part of the show's 2007-2009 run.
