Ganglion Manga Gets Short-Form TV Anime on October 3

The superhero/salaryman spoof manga Ganglion announced today the series will be adapted into a short-form TV anime scheduled to broadcast in Japan on October 3. The main staff, cast and a key visual were revealed for the newly announced series. The cast includes: Kenji Isobe voiced by Yoji Ueda Colonel Shadow (real name: Minoru Kageyama) voiced by Fumihiko Tachiki HOPEMAN voiced by Tomokazu Sugita Setsuko Isobe voiced by Aoi Koga Takashi Isobe voiced by Yoshino Aoyama Yumiko voiced by Hikaru Tono Food Cart Owner voiced by Itsuji Itao Ganglion key art RELATED: Why TO BE HERO X Gets Superheroes Written by Hisaya Shiraiwa with art by Takashi Itsuki, the original Ganglion manga was serialized by Yoshimoto Books in the now-defunct Comic Yoshimoto manga magazine, and later published into a collected edition in 2009. Ayumu Watanabe directs the TV anime adaptation at studio maf with Ryosuke Tanaka as Assistant Director, series composition by Tomoaki Shiono, screenplay by Harise, character designs and chief animation direction by Shigeru Fujita and music by Takeo Asami. Set in the early 2000's, the story of Ganglion follows the everyday adventures of Kenji Isobe, a professional henchman for the Ganglion Corporation, which plots world domination with evil schemes such as “Operation: Tokyo Cedar Pollen” and “Operation: Mount Fuji Detonation”. Kenji's workplace is a battlefield, where every day he has to deal with workplace drama, unreasonable bosses and crushing defeat at the hands of the hero HOPEMAN.
