Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Anime Inspires Adorable Line of Gashapon Toys

While you wait for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End season 2, why not let the characters wait with you? Gashapon Online has just announced an adorable line of Frieren Machiboke figures—"machiboke" being a distinct style of chibi figure that appears to be sitting and waiting. Five figures are available: a smiling Frieren, a somewhat cross Fern, an attentive Stark, Sein stuck in a swamp and a hungry Mimic. As with a standard gashapon machine, a standard price gets you a random gift. One "pull" is 400 yen, and odds are set at an even 20% for each figure across the board. Keiichiro Saito ( BOCCHI THE ROCK! ) directed Frieren: Beyond Journey's End at studio MADHOUSE, with series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki ( One-Punch Man ), character designs by Reiko Nagasawa ( takt op.Destiny ) and music by Evan Call ( Violet Evergarden ). Viz publishes an English version of the original award-winning manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. Crunchyroll streams the anime in a range of subs and dubs, describing the story like so: After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes.
