Looks like the rumours from the Fortnite datamining may just be true. Epic Games posted from the official Fortnite X account that the annual Fortnitemares event kicks off tomorrow, with a hotfix releasing at 6am ET. In addition, they also followed up with a 44-second short confirming just who’s involved in this year’s event, with Scooby-Doo, Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, The Black Phone‘s The Grabber and Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime!
This year’s event will run from October 9 until Halloween, and while details on the event won’t be revealed until tomorrow, leave it to those trusty dataminers to give us some info. For starters, Jason will purported play a big part this year, not only with a skin, but also a medallion that grants stealth-based perks.
Meanwhile, Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Inc. gang will have their own skins, a Mystery Machine SUV, Scooby’s Theme Song by Simple Plan, and more. Ghostface and The Grabber will also have their own skins. It’s not clear yet what Huggy Wuggy will bring to the event.
Nevertheless, Jason’s having a busy Halloween this year. Not content with just being in Fortnite, Jason is also in Call of Duty‘s “The Haunting” event this year, alongside Chucky from Child’s Play and the Predator.
