First-Person Puzzle Horror Game ‘oneway.eve’ Launches on Steam October 7 [Trailer]

It’s been a long while since developer/publisher Disordered Media dropped the demo for their Survival Horror title oneway.exe, but the wait is paying off on October 7 when the first chapter of multiple new realities launches on Steam.

Influenced by internet culture, oneway.exe sees players trapped inside an unfinished game created by three developers whose lives took a tragic turn. You’ll explore the haunted halls of UNTITLED.EXE to discover digital horrors underlying reality itself. Along the way, you’ll meet an ensemble cast of eight characters inspired by scary internet stories as they claw their way into real life from digital realms “beyond comprehension.”

“Our game is more inspired by internet culture than ‘games’ as a medium,” said Bugs Ray, Co-Founder at Disordered Media. “Being online at a young age, we wanted to make a game that pays homage to various eras of culture,” said Spider Ray, Co-Founder. “Flash animations, online forums, kids’ websites, horror videos, creepypastas — we want others to experience the feeling these sub-cultures provided, but in a new interactive way.”

And as mentioned, if you need a refresher, the demo from last year is still very much available. The demo allows players to navigate seven bespoke, horror nostalgia-fuelled paths, racing towards a “sprawling tree of conclusions.”
