First Look at ‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85’ Animated Series, Coming in 2026

Stranger Things” may be coming to an end this year, but the adventures will continue in the animated series “Stranger Things: Tales from ’85.”

Coming to Netflix in 2026, get your first look at the show in the featurette below.

Set in the winter of 1985 — between the events of “Stranger Things” Seasons 2 and 3 — the Hawkins crew must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.

The voice cast is led by Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, Luca Diaz as Mike, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Ben Plessala as Will, and Brett Gipson as Hopper.

Additional voice actors include Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

Flying Bark Productions (“What If…?,” “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) is the animation studio behind the project, with Eric Robles (“Fanboy & Chum Chum,” “Glitch Techs”) serving as showrunner.

Robles also executive produces alongside “Stranger Things” creators Matt & Ross Duffer plus Hilary Leavitt, Shawn Levy, and Dan Cohen.

“When we started talking about, was there anything else we wanted to do with ‘Stranger Things,’ this was one of our first ideas,” says Ross Duffer.

“The idea was kind of to evoke a feeling of an ’80s cartoon,” adds Matt Duffer.

The live-action “Stranger Things” concludes on Netflix in three parts: four episodes on November 26, three episodes on December 25, and the series finale — also in theaters — on December 31. Each volume releases at 5pm PT/8pm ET.
