Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin Satirize ‘Stranger Things’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Finn Wolfhard hosted “Saturday Night Live” last night, and he was joined by his “Stranger Things” co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin for a sketch about sequels, prequels, requels, and spinoffs from the series.

In addition to a “Sex and the City”-inspired spinoff centered on Mike in 1990s New York City, the trio reunited to parody the fan conspiracy theory about a secret ninth episode in Season 5 — with “SNL” stalwart Kenan Thompson standing in as Eleven.

Matarazzo and McLaughlin also appeared during Wolfhard’s monologue, in which the “former child stars” reflected on growing up in front of the world.

“Stranger Things” debuted in 2016 and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular properties. Although the series is over, the franchise will live on with the animated series “Stranger Things: Tales from ’85” this year and a live-action spinoff in the works.
