Magnolia Pictures’ genre arm Magnet Releasing is creeping into December with faux-documentary horror movie Man Finds Tape, Rue Morgue reports today.
Man Find Tape releases in select theaters and VOD platforms on December 5, 2025.
Kelsey Pribilski, William Magnuson, John Gholson, Brian Villalobos, and Nell Kessler star.
The official logline reads, “After receiving a cryptic call, documentarian Lynn Page (Pribilski) returns to her small Texas hometown to investigate haunting footage of events no one can remember taking place. But her brother Lucas’ (Magnuson) controversial past with a viral web series called Man Find Tape forces Lynn to question if he, or anyone in their town, can be trusted. And the arrival of a stranger with chaotic intentions forces Lynn to confront her family’s involvement with the deadly monster preying on Larkin, TX.”
Man Finds Tape marks the feature debut of co-writers/co-directors Paul Gandersman and Peter Hall.
Rustic Films’ David Lawson Jr., Aaron Moorhead, and Justin Benson (The Endless, “Daredevil: Born Again“) produced with Ashley Landavazo, while Jessica Cargill and C. Robert Cargill, and XYZ Films serve as executive producers.
The horror movie made its premiere earlier this year at the Tribeca Film Festival. Daniel Kurland wrote in his festival review, “It’s such a satisfying slow burn that culminates in something special that’s worth the tropes and theatrics. It’s an ambitious hybrid horror film that provokes and reinforces that seeing isn’t just believing, but that it’s an exercise that can be as fatal as it is informative.”
With a release date now set, expect a trailer to arrive soon.
