With Season Two of Prime Video’s “Fallout” coming in a matter of months, Bethesda is doing the cross-promotion thing with Fallout 76. Per Variety, the open world multiplayer title will be receiving Walton Goggins‘ character of The Ghoul, as well as other aspects of the TV series in an upcoming update.
Titled “Burning Springs,” the new update is the 64th such update since Fallout 76 launched way back in 2018, and according to Bethesda, is the game’s most expansive addition to date. Arriving later this year for free, “Burning Springs” is set in the southeastern region of rural Ohio, brimming with new places to explore, questlines to follow and new events to partake in. Those new events include the all-new Bounty Hunting missions, hosted by The Ghoul.
The team is keeping details to themselves for now, but Bethesda plans on reveal additional details for “Burning Springs” during its Fallout Day presentation on October 23.
Meanwhile, season two will begin streaming December 17, and pick up from season one’s finale to “take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.” “Fallout” has already been approved for a third season by Prime Video.
In addition to Walton Goggins, the series stars Ella Purnell (“Yellowjackets”), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”).
