Extract Eggs While Avoiding Dinosaurs in Co-op Shooter ‘Eggspedition’ [Trailer]

There’s no question that indie devs have been filling the void for those pining for Dino Crisis. And now, Wildflame Studio are mixing it up with Eggspedition, a 4-play co-op Survival Horror extraction title that sees you attempting to harvest eggs from the prehistoric beasts. But don’t think that you’ll get far without a fight.

Coming to Steam later this year, Eggspedition has you going solo or with up to three other friends to explore unknown planets, abandoned facilities, complete missions, and make daring extractions. You’ve been drop-podded onto an uncharted Class X-13 planet, which just so happens to be inhabited by dinosaurs. The only way to get out is to grab an egg. No egg, no evac.

Despite the name, it’s actually not all egg extraction. To make things interesting, you won’t know what you’re up against until the drop pod closes up behind you. One mission might see you tracking down a lost egg, while another sees you extracting rare minerals from an active crater. Or, you could end up securing a zone crawling with predators.

Every predator has its own way of fighting, its own territory, and its own method of tearing up those who venture into its territory.

It’s only through teamwork that you’ll be able to make it out of the mission. One player can scan the area for the pickups, another can provide cover, while a third does the leg work.

Survive, and you can use the credits you’ve earned to upgrade your arsenal and protective suit. You’ll also be able to enhance your weapons, unlock new combat abilities, and equip yourself with essential gadgets.
