In addition to character voices, the clip features the opening theme song "Blacker Co., Ltd." performed by the five-member female unit Itsuka Saisei. The anime is based on the Fist of the North Star franchise's official spin-off manga of the same name illustrated by Hiroshi Kurao, which was serialized in Coamix's Manga Hot app from November 2017 to February 2020, releasing thee collected volumes in Japan. The story follows Nobu, who has joined the Ken-Oh Army and has struggled to survive in the excessively dangerous workplace. The five-minute short anime series will be released as the first project from Animatica, a new animation production label launched by Frontier Works, which handles planning and production for various anime works, and Doraku, which operates a motion comic production business.
