The official website for the upcoming short anime Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star ( Hokuto no Ken: Ken'oh-gun Zako-tachi no Ban ka in Japanese) announced today that the anime is set to premiere in Japan on January 5, 2026 . The anime is based on the Fist of the North Star franchise's official spin-off manga of the same name illustrated by Hiroshi Kurao, which was serialized in Coamix's Manga Hot app from November 2017 to February 2020, releasing thee collected volumes in Japan. The story follows Nobu, who has joined the Ken-Oh Army and has struggled to survive in the excessively dangerous workplace. Doraku's CEO Daisuke Miura serves as animation director. Five-member female unit Itsuka Saisei provides the opening theme song "Blacker Co., Ltd.," while singer-songwriter Kanbe Shinki's solo project The Canbellz performs the ending theme song "Elegy of the Enemies."
