Elden Ring Switch 2 Version Delayed to 2026

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was set to make its Nintendo Switch 2 debut this year, but FromSoftware needs a bit more time. The latest announcement from the studio’s official X (formerly Twitter) account has the Switch 2 port getting hit with a delay that pushes it from a general 2025 launch window to sometime in 2026. According to the announcement, some performance adjustments need to be made before the Switch 2 version is ready. FromSoftware apologized and thanked fans for their patience as they continue to work on optimization. Tarnished Edition also includes the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion that followed in June 2024, as well as new armor and customization features for the appearance of trusty steed Torrent.
