Doraemon TV Anime Gets New Ending Theme for the First Time in 20 Years

The long-running TV anime based on the gag manga Doraemon announced today that the series will get a new ending theme beginning with the episode to be broadcast in Japan on October 4. Tani Yuuki performs the new ending theme, which is entitled “Moshi Monogatari”. This marks the first new ending theme for the series since it was rebooted in 2005. Until now, the ending song for the 2005 anime has been "Odore Dore Dora Doraemon Ondo" by Doraemon voice actor Wasabi Mizuta. When asked about the new ending theme, Tani Yuuki noted that he grew up watching Doraemon and was pleased to be part of that world. Yuuki also observed that he wanted to convey as much as he could about Doraemon with his music, and that he hopes that “Moshi Monogatari” conveys a message of inspiration to children even if they hit a setback in life.
