Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil Anime Film Reveals New Screenshots and Ambassadors

The official X (formerly Twitter) for the Doraemon anime film series posted new screenshots from the upcoming Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil movie. The 45th entry in the Doraemon anime feature film series is scheduled to release in Japan on February 27, 2026 . More screenshots are available on the film's official website now, showing a glimpse of the underwater world where Doraemon, Nobita and his friends embark on adventures. Additionally, the official website also announced that Mon Higashi and Gon Higashi, the twin members of Japanese intellectual entertainment group QuizKnock, serve as new promotional ambassadors for the film. They join the previously announced ambassadors, Airi Taira and Alco and Peace . QuizKnock is a group that shares knowledge-deepening content on YouTube through quizzes, puzzle-solving videos and web media based on the concept of "learning that starts with fun." Mon and Gon are known as twin brothers who adore Doraemon. "My name is 'Mon,' so I've always loved Doraemon. Every Friday night, I'd wait in front of the TV for the anime to start. I watched every single Doraemon film through rental videos my parents brought home," said Mon Higashi. "Whenever I take quizzes, I end up learning about tons of things and places I know exist but have never seen or visited, and every time, my curiosity cries out, 'Doraemon~!' for help." Gon Higashi added, "I've watched every single Doraemon film. As a fan, I'm thrilled to have seen the latest one first, but I also feel a bit guilty about it. Sorry, everyone! The beautiful world of the sea and thrilling action. Plus, it's the first time the series will be shown in 4D. I'm looking forward to seeing it in theaters, too." The Doraemon TV anime and film series are based on the original manga by Fujiko F. Fujio. Tetsuo Yajima directs Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil with a script by Isao Murayama. It is a remake of the 1983 Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil , where Doraemon, Nobita and the rest of the gang visit the undersea kingdoms of Mu and Atlantis.
