Disclosure: Three former Crunchyroll employees are among the founders of Omoi. Big changes are underway for digital manga publisher Azuki , but only in terms of branding. Starting with today’s official relaunch, the company will be known as Omoi moving forward. The folks at Omoi emphasize that the “catalog, user experience, payment model, and price” will all remain the same. Here’s more about the new name from the press release: Omoi means “thought” or “feeling” in Japanese, and represents the thoughtfulness and care that the small, hard-working team at Omoi has put into both their manga releases and their app experience over the past four years. Co-founder and marketing director Evan Minto called the name representative of “a new phase” for the company. “It also reduces the brand confusion around our old name, which was in use by multiple companies in other industries,” he added.
