The official X (formerly Twitter) for the Detective Conan/Case Closed anime feature film series has released a special collaboration visual between its latest 28th installment, Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback , and the upcoming eighth installment in the Mission: Impossible live-action film series, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning . The collab visual depicts Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise in The Final Reckoning , and Kogoro Mori in One-eyed Flashback , who is wounded in the same spots on his face, in the same composition. The Japanese tagline for The Final Reckoning reads: "I want you to trust me. This is my last request," while that for One-eyed Flashback reads: "I want you to look at me. This is my outstanding activity." Additionally, TOHO Movie's official YouTube channel is now streaming a special collaboration clip narrated by Kogoro Mori (CV: Rikiya Koyama). He introduces the highlights of each film one after the other. Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback released in Japan on April 18 and has retained the top spot at Japanese box office for four consecutive weekends . Meanwhile, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will open in Japan on May 23, simultaneously with its US release.
