Demo Released for Liminal Space Horror Exploration Title ‘Liminal Shroud’ [Trailer]

Solo developer Everdeep Studios has revealed a demo for their upcoming first-person liminal space horror exploration game, Liminal Shroud. The demo allows players to get a glimpse into the first 5 chapters of Liminal Shroud, with every space being “original, handcrafted and deeply atmospheric.”

Liminal Shroud is set in surreal uncanny environments inspired by forgotten architecture, analog technology, and the uncanny feeling of being somewhere you shouldn’t be. Unlike other titles inspired by The Backrooms, the game instead creates an original experience by blends ambient dread with interactive puzzles, mystery with a horror tone, and immersive sound design.

Players will traverse shifting hallways, cavernous offices, and haunting spaces, that whose visual style calls back to 70s and 80s architecture, creating a nostalgic unease. All the while, players will be unravelling cryptic clues and surviving the creeping presence that lurks just beyond their perception.

There are no monsters that chase you in Liminal Shroud, but there’s an “inescapable dark presence” that watches your every move. Utilising a minimal UI, the game’s aforementioned shifting passages take many shapes, leaving it up to you to escape from this twisted reality. As a result, you’ll need to discover which laws of reality can be broken in order to progress.
