Demo Launched for Co-op Survival Horror Game ‘Jester: A Foolish Ritual’ [Trailer]

The October edition of Steam Next Fest is obviously a ways away. That’s obviously not stopping Fire Foot Studios, who have released a demo for Jester: A Foolish Ritual, their recently announced co-op horror game.

Jester: A Foolish Ritual sees up to four players take on the roles of resurrected knights, who have awakened in an abandoned castle, trapped with no way out. Well, the castle isn’t totally abandoned, as a monstrous Jester stalks the halls. The only way out lies in performing a sacred ritual to banish the Jester.

To do so, you’ll need to uncover hidden runes and complete the ritual. Each run will be different, leaving you and your friends to adapt as you journey through the castle. The Jester also has a habit of leaving some of his jack boxes lurking around. If you trigger them, he will come for you.

“We have been working on this demo for a long time, so we hope you enjoy it,” says the devteam. The announcement does state that some mechanics and features are still locked away for the full game, but what’s here in the demo should allow players to have an experience as close to its final version.

The final version of Jester will include a larger separate map, more difficulty modes, puzzles, and tweaks based on player feedback. You can join the Fire Foot Studios’ Discord to relay your feedback to the devs.
