Danny Elfman will reunite with Sam Raimi to compose the score for the survival thriller Send Help.
“I’m just finishing a score for Gus Van Sant and a really fun thriller,” the composer told journalist Andrew Freund. “And then I start another thriller with Sam Raimi that they just finished shooting in Australia called Send Help.”
The two icons of cinema previously collaborated on Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Oz the Great and Powerful, A Simple Plan, Darkman, and the Army of Darkness theme. Elfman also cameoed in Raimi’s The Gift.
Send Help lands in theaters on January 30, 2026 from 20th Century Studios.
It follows two colleagues who become stranded on a deserted island after surviving a plane crash. They must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it is a battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.
Described as a cross between Misery and Castaway, the script is written by Damian Shannon & Mark Swift (Freddy vs. Jason, Friday the 13th).
Rachel McAdams (Doctor Strange) and Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner) star with Dennis Haysbert (“24”) and Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians).
In addition to a full plate of soundtrack work, Elfman is working on a new solo album.
