The Code Geass anime franchise has launched a special project to celebrate its 20th anniversary, titled "Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year." The first TV anime series of the franchise, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion started airing in Japan in October 2006. As the first phase of the project, a memorial event "Code Geass Project ‘To 20th’" is set to be held at Belle Salle Shinjuku Grand in Tokyo on December 7, 2025. In addition to Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge), Kohei Amasaki (Rozé) and Makoto Furukawa (Ash) will appear. The event will feature a special talk by the voice cast, a new reading drama, and announcements of new information. As the second phase, a revival screening event for all 13 theatrical films in the series, "CODE GEASS 20th Anniversary Retrospective: Road to CODE GEASS 20th Year" will be held starting January 6, 2026. The three films from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion , the five films from Code Geass: Akito the Exiled , Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection , and the four films from Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture will be screened sequentially every other Tuesday and Thursday through June 2026. As the third phase, a sequel to the musical performed in September 2023, Code Geass: Seido ni Junzuru Kishi (roughly translated to "Knight on the Path of Righteousness"), will open in January 2026. The first show's Ryotaro Akazawa and Koji Kominami are confirmed to reprise their roles as Suzaku Kururugi and Lelouch Lamperouge, respectively.
