Co-op Horror Title ‘Storebound’ Out in Early Access Now [Trailer]

After giving fans a taste of the mayhem during Steam Next Fest, Embers has launched their 1-3 co-op horror game Storebound into Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. You can pick up the game on the former with an added 15% launch discount until November 24th.

Following a strong reception during the latest Steam Next Fest, where the demo for Storebound registered over 120,000 players, the Early Access release marks the next step in the game’s development to a full launch. The team at Embers aims to continue to develop the game with the community’s feedback, refining existing content and shaping what’s to come.

The Early Access version of Storebound features Episodes 1 and 2, offering players the first chapter of a larger, interconnected story that will expand through future updates. Each chapter will introduce new characters, mechanics, and horrors as the game’s narrative unfolds.

Inspired by SCP-3008 and The Backrooms, Storebound sees 1-3 players trapped in an endless store. By day, lights flicker across deserted halls, inviting exploration. By night, employees roam the aisles looking to “assist” you. Silence, teamwork, and quick thinking are your only tools for survival. You’ll need to work together at all costs before the employees catch you.

Plan your next move using proximity voice chat and walkie-talkies. Piece together environmental clues and decode cryptic notes to find your next destination. Split up and look for whatever may help you escape. Along the way, search the mall for tools and items. But be wary of the employees. Do you cling to the shadows, letting madness creep in, or stay in the light where they’re already watching you?
