In advance of its July 2 premiere in Japan, the upcoming anime adaptation of dark fantasy manga Clevatess has dropped a new key visual. This new artwork depicts the whole cast together—including the lord of dark beasts, the baby and the resurrected hero at the center of the story. The event, which takes place every summer on Mitane Town's Kamayahama Beach, welcomes creators to create and display larger-than-life sand art on the beach. Visitors can also enjoy food, live performances and fireworks late into the night, when the sculptures are lit up for viewing. Sand sculpture building for this year's event begins on July 12, with the exhibition period running from July 26 to September 30. There's no word yet what sort of sculptures we'll be seeing from the Clevatess team, but keep an eye out for updates! RELATED: Clevatess TV Anime Unveils Third Episodic Visual Kiyotaka Taguchi ( Ultraman Blazar ) directs the anime at Lay-duce with Keigo Koyanagi ( Brave Bang Bravern! ) writing the series composition, Soichiro Sako ( Buddy Daddies ) drawing the character designs and Nobuaki Nobusawa ( Mr. Villain's Day Off ) composing the music. The original Clevatess manga by Yuji Iwahara ( King of Thorn , Dimension W ) began publishing on the LINE Manga vertical web platform in August 2020, with seven volumes released in Japan to date. Media Factory also releases the series horizontally, compiling its version into six volumes. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in July , and describes it: One of the Lords of Dark Beasts, Clevatess’s reign shatters when he revives a hero he personally slayed and adopts an orphaned humanoid baby—the last hope to save a dying world.
